Pulling the sleeves of the hoodie, she tried her best to hide her slim fingers inside it, her eyes wandered around — the bonfire to the night sky— trailing back to her legs which she hugged back as she sat on the ground where I had already placed a small wooden chair for her.
I sat beside her on the bare ground without any chair and yet my height towered hers.
I tried my best to not look back at those hands which were itching to take the heat of the bonfire but at the same time trying to extend the sleeves of the hoodie— she was trying as if the cloth was made of elastic and not threads.
Finally she pulled her hands out and rubbed them in front of the bonfire — taking the heat and rubbing them on her cheeks. I kept looking at her small antics, how she would glance at me trying her best to make it oblivious but failed miserably in it.
I didn't averted my gaze from her, my eyes were fixed on her and there was no excuse for me to look away, I never expected that I would be spending this night with her and not alone.
My Mafia romances are filled with power, passion, and betrayal—where hearts race faster than getaway cars and love is the ultimate risk. If you crave danger wrapped in desire, welcome to the dark side.🖤
