Grey smoke clouded her vision, a light cough escaped her lips, squeezing her eyes she tried to find the person for whom she came there, another wave of smoke hit her nostrils and she couldn't help but choke on her own breath.
Composing herself she tried to turn and walk back when suddenly a muscular arm pulled her back, startling her for a moment, gentle touch on her waist and the warmth radiating from the arms made her lean back. The familiar scent mixed with the smoke of the cigarette made her sigh. Placing her hand on his arms on her stomach, she whispered slowly.
βYou are stressed.β It was more like a statement to him and he couldn't deny it, a long silence enveloped her making their heartbeats loud and clear in the silence. The wave of cold breeze howling in the back forest, with the trees and branches dancing together and giving a silent yet peaceful feeling.
But somehow it was making his heart more restless, his heartbeat which would have found peace in this place was beating non stop, she could feel his restlessness. Even if he was silent and close to her without any frown yet she could feel his anxiety coming from his inside.
βIt's not your fault that she is gone, Davin. You need to hold yourself.β His grip on her loosened, hearing her, he stepped back and she could feel the emptiness, the lack of warmth around her. The cold breeze took her in its embrace, making her shudder.
What she said was to comfort him, she might think that the man who has nothing to do with woman, the man who has been hating woman. How can he be sad over a woman death who wasn't even that close to Davin?
